Your Area of Expertise
You don’t have to write exclusively about writing.
If your book is connected to a particular profession, industry, subject, hobby, destination, or area of expertise, you can write useful articles about that subject.
For example, an author of a business book could write about entrepreneurship.
A travel writer could write about destinations and travel.
A historian could write about historical events and research.
A health and wellness author could share general educational information related to their area of expertise.
A children’s author could discuss storytelling, creativity, or children’s literature.
The goal is to give readers useful content while allowing readers to discover the person and ideas behind the book.
Can I Promote My Book?
Yes.
Authors may mention and promote their books when the promotion is relevant to the article.
For example, an article about the research behind your historical novel may naturally mention the book and provide a link where readers can learn more.
We prefer editorial content over advertising disguised as an article.
An article should provide genuine value to the reader rather than existing primarily to sell a book.
Your author bio can also include information about your books, website, and other relevant links.
